Purpose and authorship
Our guides support conversations with your care team and do not provide a personal diagnosis or treatment plan. Author and reviewer links identify the clinician credited on a guide. An editorial update does not mean a new clinical review has been completed.
Sources and dates
Sources link to research, professional guidelines, or public health authorities. Evidence can change. Publication and clinical-review dates are shown only when confirmed; an unknown date is not replaced with a build date. Changes to recommendations or investigational treatments require clinician review, including translated versions.
Corrections and calculators
Contact the office at (305) 209-2191 to report a factual concern and identify the page and statement. Calculators disclose their formulas, units, and limitations; their output is educational and must not be used to change treatment without your clinician.
